Dr. Barbara Tint, Portland State University’s Conflict Resolution Graduate Program.
Description: This workshop provides an opportunity to explore improvisational techniques that are useful in conflict resolution processes. Whether you are a conflict resolution professional or just someone who experiences conflict, this workshop can shed light on useful tools and principles for dealing with both small and large scale conflict. Relevant connections include building on offers; increasing collaboration; improving spontaneity; developing creative solutions; utilizing status constructively; engaging successfully with emotions; maximizing adaptability; working with differing narratives; listening with deeper attention. While this short workshop can not fully address all of these skills, a framework and ideas for further development will be offered.
